These rules exist to keep the server fair and enjoyable for everyone.
Staff decisions are final. If a staff member asks you to stop doing something, please listen.
Players are expected to use common sense, even in situations not explicitly listed in the rules.
1. Be Respectful
Treat other players and staff with respect.
No harassment, bullying, discrimination, or threats.
Do not impersonate other players or staff.
Do not share personal information about other players.
2. Chat Rules
Global chat must be primarily English.
No spam or excessive caps.
No inappropriate links or content.
No advertising other Minecraft servers.
Discord advertisements are only allowed if related to Lonks (e.g. town Discords).
Swearing is allowed in moderation, but not if it is directed at other players or becomes excessive.
3. Prohibited Topics
The following topics are not allowed in public chat:
Politics or political debates
Religion debates
NSFW or sexual content
Illegal drugs
Extremely controversial or sensitive topics
If staff ask you to stop discussing a topic, please stop.
4. Cheating & Exploits
The following are not allowed:
Hacks or X-ray, or unfair client modifications.
Macros or auto-clickers
Exploiting bugs or glitches
Lag machines or builds that harm server performance
If you find a bug or exploit, report it to staff.
You may use up to 3 accounts (1 main + 2 alts).
Allowed mods include: Optifine, shaders, fair-play minimaps, and inventory tweaks.
Ask staff if unsure about a mod.
5. Griefing & Stealing
In Towns / Claimed Land
Do not break, alter, or steal from another player’s build without permission.
Do not kill mobs owned by other players.
Do not take crops without permission (replant if you do).
Town permissions do not override these rules.
In Wilderness
Raiding unclaimed builds is allowed, but mass griefing or destruction is not.
Do not deliberately deface the Towny world environment - use /warp Farmworld for resource gathering.
6. Town Rules
Residents
Respect town builds and follow your mayor’s rules.
Do not scam residents.
Give 7 days notice before disbanding a town or drastically raising taxes.
Residents inactive for 7 days may be removed.
Give 3 days notice before removing inactive player builds.
Towns must be 15 chunks apart unless both mayors agree.
Do not claim land with the intention of blocking, surrounding, or interfering with another town’s expansion.
Staff may remove claims that are considered abusive or disruptive to neighbouring towns.
7. Farms & AFK Rules
To keep gameplay fair and reduce lag:
AFK pools or machines used to bypass AFK kick are not allowed.
Farms must require active player interaction.
Fully automatic or AFK farms that generate items while the player is inactive are not allowed.
Redstone machines that require manual activation (e.g. button) are allowed.
Builds designed to cause lag may be removed by staff.
8. Farm Size & Performance Limits
To protect server performance:
Mob grinders must be no larger than 3 × 3 chunks.
Maximum 24 spawners per chunk
Maximum 100 hoppers per 5 chunks.
Staff may ask players to modify farms if they cause server lag.
9. PvP Rules
PvP is allowed in the wilderness.
PvP is disabled in towns by default.
Flight may not be used during PvP combat.
Do not trick players into teleporting in order to attack them.
Use /duel if you want a fair PvP fight.
10. Traps
The following traps are not allowed:
Nether portal traps
Traps that prevent players from using chat
Traps that move players out of protected areas into danger
11. Trading Rules
Real-world trading is not allowed.
Not allowed:
Selling in-game items or money for real currency.
Allowed:
Selling store items for in-game money only.
12. Staff Discretion
These rules cannot cover every possible situation. Staff may take action against behaviour that is harmful to the server or community, even if it is not explicitly listed above.
13. Appeals & Disputes
